Waves and a paradox…

Let’s rewind to when my partner Mason and I co-founded The Health Creation Lab… From the moment we opened our doors, our clinic was flooded by waves of women struggling with infertility, painful periods and other hormone health concerns.

I was shocked at the phenomenal need for this work. And yet, paradoxically, it took a total health melt down of my own to realize, I was these women too. My story was their story.

I’ve been captivated with knowledge translation for two decades. That is: the process of sharing what we’ve learned with one another. Fuelled by a vision of a multidimensionally woven healing container that creates health for the earth, the community, the client and the clinician simultaneously.

I’ve been molding and working the warps of this process through the School of Hard Knocks (maybe you’ve heard of it?).… I’ve taken a leave of absence three times in my career. (I think we both know this, but the mainstream structures that we have built for healing are broken…) I was the canary in the coal mine. With every rupture, I re-evaluated my relationship to “work”, to the process of healing and what conditions need to be present for us all to be a wellspring of vibrancy.

I didn’t choose my area of clinical focus, it chose me.

My work has given me a beautiful invitation: to find the synergy of my inner masculine and feminine nature… Cultivating my strength as an advocate for the healing and protection of women and the earth. While softening and receiving in my body and life… It’s a dance that compels my expansion as a person and as a clinician. My work helps to build a bridge to the world I want to be a part of, and I want you to feel this truth in your bones, too.

I was given a gift by my naturopathic Elders; a torch that I carry and now pass on to you: we are in nature and nature is in you. This is the simple truth that opens the portal to becoming the healer in your story.

Hormone healing is the perfect ecosystem to showcase this knowing. The endocrine system is thousands if not millions of physiological stories being told moment-to-moment and cell-to-cell. If you stick around with me you’ll learn that nature speaks this language too, and it whispers to your biology every day to create the conditions for your vitality. You were designed to be healthy, balanced and magnetic.

I’ve reinvented what healing experiences can feel like with a vision of medicine that is equal parts art and science. A compilation of ancestral knowledge ways and modern techniques which create care that feels timeless.

With my whole heart: I am so grateful to share this way of healing and living with you. I did not learn all this for myself alone- it was for us.

Love,

Dr. Chelsea ND

Pillars of My Approach

  • By connecting to your inner healing capacity while being inspired by trusted guidance, you’ll cut through the noise and uncover a well of strength to navigate through your hormone healing journey with confidence.

  • Share your story and experience the support of a community who sees and holds you while learning from the wisdom of those who have also walked this path.

  • By leveraging time-tested methodologies passed down by beloved Elders we build a healing container that has space for all of you: mental, emotional, physical & spiritual.

A Note On Inclusive Language

The vast majority of people who have sought my care have identified as a woman. I also resonate with this language personally, as part of my healing has been reclaiming my connection to womanhood. I believe in sharing what I know to whomever feels called to participate, regardless of gender assignment or identity. If you were born with a uterus (and do not identify as a woman) please know this path is for you too. I also acknowledge that providing health care for trans and non-binary people is an area of focus unto itself and not my area of expertise. I try my best to stay educated and create safer healing environments. I am learning and I don’t always get it right.
